We all have been through a stage of wanting to fit in a morning run before work/school- but have you actually done it? No. Here are some Tips and tricks to get you running tomorrow morning!
1. Lay out your clothes the night before
Being organised the night before means that you will get to keep those toes warmer for abit longer under that duvet- We all love our sleep right? Have them close by your bed so you can get up quickly and start your morning work out.
2. The Snooze Button
So you have laid out your clothes the night before, and now your alarm is going off. Don’t worry though because you have been organised the night before meaning that you have more time to get a few extra z’s in before your work out. But don’t use this as an excuse to miss it, make sure you have enough time to get it done and dusted.
So you are up and ready, before any work out make sure you have taken on enough fluids. According to a study from the British Journal of Nutrition working out on an empty stomach burns 20% more fat- but don’t skip the H2o as this refreshes and energies your body ready for your run.
4. Local and Short
In the mornings it is best to take a shorter run anything as little as 15 minutes can energise and set your speedy metabolism off for the day.
If you can make it to your local gym then use this but if you haven’t got access to one, keep it local and run around your block- or go onto YouTube and find some work out videos that you could do in the comfort of your own home. This means you wont have to face the freezing winter weather.
5. Congratulate yourself and have a treat
Aim to do an A.M work out at least 3 times a week and then treat yourself to ta rest sleeping in and enjoying an extra cuppa!
